The guy was probably just pissed because I beat him, but after the hand he posted that I was an idiot. I asked him what about the way I played that hand was poor and someone else chimed in that I shouldn't have to ask that question. I was just curious since there were two people talking shit if there was something I was missing that someone could point out!

It's actually been awhile since I played poker, and I will say one thing. . .I have NO IDEA how I grinded poker out back in the day. I use to be so patient and now I can't play for more then an hour without getting bored and sick of the beats. Before I just brushed them off like nothing, now it actually gets to me. I'll tell you what, these professionals are amazing to me.

At this point your a 56 -43 fav if he has the over pair he representing. u dont show stack sizes but at 20 for BB im guessing 1500....hes already got 600 in i would have gone ahead and reraised him again to try to get it all in now.....

I agree, getting all the money in at this point since you have a better hand is a smart move in the longhaul.

Additionally on the turn when you hit, I would advice to bet since if he has AA with the nut flush ace, he will most likely pay you off to see that next card, and you might as well protect your made hand.

You need to get in allin on flop. You virtually flopped a monster and are favorite against sets and two pair hands. You want to get it allin because there surely will be scare cards on the turn and river for your opponent and he will likely fold to those scare cards thus you wouldn't be getting full equity for your monster draw.

Nothing wrong with how you played it especially if it's a MTT or Sit&Go and you don't want to stack off till you hit your draw. Bet 3/4 pot on the river though. For Cash game, I am pretty much shipping it on the flop.

Well I see 2 things wrong with the way you played your hand. The first is in poker you want to get max value and you missed value in this hand (a lot of it to be honest). The first thing is when you lead on the flop it's because you have a big draw, and if you're going to lead on the flop you are never folding to a raise, if you do it's simply terrible. When you get raised on the flop I think you need to reraise with the intent/hope of getting it in, that way if you make your hand you are getting max value. The second mistake I see is when you make your hand on the turn for some reason you check. This is amateur hour move #1. You should definitely make a half pot size bet or a little less here. With your opponent's 4x raise pre, even after a limp in EP, we have to give them credit for a strong range. With that said I doubt they are ever going to check raise your flop lead, and then fold to a turn bet, so we have to bet the turn here for value. Hopefully the villain spazzes and ships it or even if they flat you you are betting for value and building the pot. I'm not sure what the stack sizes were but the other reason we bet the turn is so we can shove the river. This is how you would get max value for this hand.

Cliff Notes:

1.If you are going to lead the flop, then be prepared to get it in on this flop with your huge draw

2. You need to be betting the turn for value, checking there is terrible
